The Christian Teachers Academy is pleased to announce its continued partnership with Edifide and a new commitment between the Academy and Edifide. Edifide now recognizes the Academy learning experience as a qualification towards the Christian School Teachers Certificate (CSTC).
As announced June, 2014, the Edifide Credentials Committee has approved the “Christian Teacher Academy” (Odysseys 101 or Odyssey 201) held in August as fulfilling one of the courses for the “Christian School Teachers Certificate” (CSTC). In order to qualify, an educator needs to go to the Edifide website and look under Services for the CSTC. Since this is not a course where a university or college sends a transcript, we ask you to fill in the application for an independent study.
This independent study would have an expectation that you implement the project that you worked on in the summer. Your principal or learning leader would verify that you did this. At Edifide, we want to encourage you to take risks in your teaching and ask for feedback, and to try again, learning from your “first” try in new pedagogical ways. We believe that Project Based Learning gives you a framework to do this well.
