Educators Success Protocol

“Don't aim for success if you want it; just do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally.” - David Frost
Step 1: Reflect
Take a moment to think about the events of this past school year. Think specifically of things that have gone well.
These things could be your students' achievements, successful changes in teaching practices, the development of new personal habits, or anything in-between. You also
might want to think of successes in light of your Personal Learning Plan.
Step 2: Analysis - In triads, choose the first presenter

Step 2: Analysis - In triads, choose the first presenter
- Presenter Describes Success (2 minutes):
In triads, the first presenter tells the story of his or her success in as much detail as possible. The group takes notes. - Group Asks Clarifying Questions (2 minutes):
The rest of the group asks clarifying questions about the details of the success in order to fill in any information the group needs to be helpful to the presenter. - Group Reflects on the Success Story (5 minutes):
Group members discuss what they heard the presenter say and offer additional insights and analysis of the success. The presenter is silent, turned away from the table, and taking notes.
- Presenter Reflects (1 minute):
The presenter reflects on the group’s discussion about what made this so successful.
- Share Success Factors:
When everyone has presented, the triad list the factors that contributed to their successes. Be prepared to share your findings with the large group. - Debrief:
Briefly talk about the protocol and the process of sharing.
