Project Management:
  • Www.scrumy.com — Create jobs and tasks. Move sticky notes from "To Do, In Progress, Verify, and Done."
  • Google Apps — Wordprocessing, spreadsheets, electronic slideshows, and a host of other tools that a Google Apps for Education account can get you.
  • Edmodo.com — Class administration tool for sharing, collaborating, and communicating.

Significant Content:
  • Edcanvas — A one-stop spot for videos, documents, links, and other electronic resources. Can also be used for public audience.
  • Screencastomatic — An online Screen Capture tool that records what is occurring on your screen. Plug in a microphone and you can narrate along. Save the video to your computer or upload directly to YouTube.
  • Interactive Whiteboards — Did you know that you can plug in a mic to your computer, narrate, and video record your lessons?
  • PhotoStory (Windows) — A better photo slide show. Add music or narrate to the pictures at the touch of a button.
  • YouTube — Lots of content and the 2nd most popular search engine!

Revision and Reflection:
  • Google Docs — Easily share work, add comments, and see revision history.
  • Google — Create a form that allows students to quickly give feedback and reflections that includes m/c, Likert scales, and other questions. Students would often rather complete a number of small questions than give a paragraph reflections.
  • Twitter — Microblogging that allows you to categorize and #hashtag.
  • TodaysMeet — A no-account-needed microblogging site. Teachers can set up a "room" for students to give short ideas and thoughts. The room is timed and will disappear after 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week, etc.
  • Linoit — A digital corkboard. You can post stickies, videos, docs, YouTube videos, and more.
  • GMail — Use email for communication and collaboration.
  • Blogger — Shared writing and direct online reflection.
  • Audacity — Software for audio recordings. Some students prefer to give audio feedback. Students could record on their smartphone/iPod and import for editing in Audacity.

Public Audience:
  • Blurb — Book publishing for books, photo books, scrapbooks, etc.
  • MixBook — Book publishing for books, photo books, scrapbooks, etc.
  • Shutterfly — Book publishing for books, photo books, scrapbooks, etc.
  • YouTube — Share videos, presentations, etc.
  • Powtoons — Animated presentation software.
